How to adopt
We are a foster-based rescue. Our dogs live in volunteer foster homes around Portland, Oregon — not in a shelter — so there is no place to walk in and browse. Here is how it works instead:
1. Apply
Fill out the adoption application. Applying first is how we know a meet will be worth everyone’s time — a message on Petfinder or Facebook is not a substitute for the application.
2. Review
A volunteer reviews your application. This usually takes several business days. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval, and a home visit may be requested. Follow-up visits after adoption may also be required.
3. Meet
If it looks like a good match, we schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do not publish foster addresses; we will arrange the details with you after your application.
4. Adopt
When everyone agrees it’s the right fit, the adoption is finalized.
Fees and requirements
- Adoption fees range from $300 to $450.
- Adopters must be 18 or older.
- Every dog is spayed or neutered before adoption.
